LEARN HOW TO INTERPRET MUSIC FOR SALSA DANCING

This 4 Hour Bootcamp you will learn how to interpret the music with and without your partner, how to listen and pay attention to musical changes and rating plus so much more. It is for on1 Salsa Dancers with experience (Beg 2 to Adv), no partner needed. Must know basics, lead and follow and timing to be able to enjoy the benefits of these class. This class won’t teach basic steps. As mentioned, It is required that students know basics, timing, lead and follow, cross body leads and right turns.

When: Sunday October 13 12-4pm

Where: OC Salsa 16131 Harbor, Fountain Valley

Schedule:

12pm: Musical and timing framing, instrumental composition, how to anticipate breaks and pauses in the music. During the first hour you will be using basic steps, Suzie q, left and right turns, side basics ad basic shines to interpret the music, solo dancing

1pm: How to dance and feel the music on 2 solo and with a partner using basic steps and figures (right ad left turns, cal and cbl inside turn)

2pm How to interpret music on 1 with some fun figures. How to slow down a move or stop to hold the ask ed to do so by the music (on1) PART 1

3pm How to interpret music on 1 with some fun figures. How to slow down a move or stop to hold the ask ed to do so by the music (on1) PART 2

Who is the instructor?

Henry Salazar Former World Champion and owner of The Artwork Dance Academy. He has over a decade of dance experience and has taught for over 5 years. He has had the privilege of traveling domestically and internationally throughout his dancing career. With experience in a wide variety of dance genres ranging from all Latin Rhythms to folkloric Dances from Peru. This 4 hour class will also have a COMPLIMENTARY 3 1/2 hour Dance Social from 9:30m-1am at OC Salsa 2980 Mcclintock Way, Costa Mesa, so you can dance and practice what you had just learned. All You have to do is show the wrist band you received at bootcamp. ($15 Value).

No Partner, special shoes, clothing or experience needed. For those coming for the first time, you can truly learn how to dance the basics in 1 Day.
