Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all! Most of our students come in with little or no dance experience. Our classes are structured by level, starting with the basics and gradually building up. You’ll be surrounded by other beginners, so you’ll never feel out of place.

No partner needed! We rotate partners during class so you’ll dance with different people throughout the lesson. This helps everyone learn faster, feel more comfortable, and make new connections.

Absolutely. While some of our students ages rage from mid 20s to late 50s,  you’ll find that dancing is fun for everyone. Everyone dances and share the joy and fun among students. And you will always connect with people your age who share the same excitement (and nerves!) about starting something new.

That’s exactly why we’re here! Our instructors specialize in breaking down steps in a simple, fun way. With practice, anyone can dance. We also have an extensive library online on our website FREE with all the steps and techniques we use to teach. We also provide voluntary evaluations for students who are motivated for one on one feed back from the instructors. Come try it! You’ll be surprised how quickly you pick it up.

Partner rotation is highly encouraged because it helps you learn faster, adapt to different styles, and feel more comfortable dancing socially. However, if you come with a partner and want to stay together, just let the instructor know. Rotating is optional for couples.

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. For shoes, avoid rubber soles (like sneakers) that stick to the floor. Light dress shoes or dance shoes work best. Ladies often prefer a small heel, but it’s not required. Later on is recommended to get dance shoes as they are more comfortable and designed for dancing.

That’s natural—everyone feels nervous their first time. The good news is that the class atmosphere is friendly, supportive, and social. Our instructors make sure no one feels left out, and within 10 minutes you’ll already be having fun.

Both! Dancing is the activity, but friendships (and sometimes even relationships) naturally form. Since everyone rotates and interacts, it’s easy to meet new people in a comfortable, fun setting.

With consistency, you’ll start feeling confident after just a few weeks. Within 2–3 months, you’ll be able to go out socially and enjoy yourself on the dance floor.

Many people come on their own, especially those who want to learn, exercise, and socialize. You won’t feel out of place being single—in fact, you’ll see that most students start the same way.
