OC Salsa offers 10 minute one on one Dance Evaluations sessions with an OC Salsa instructor,  booked at the from desk in order to evaluate students to move from Beginner level 1 to Beginner Level 2, or from Beginner Level 2 to Intermediate for both Bachata & Salsa . First come first serve, limited spots per day. In these sessions the instructor will EVALUATE, testing the students skills to move up to a higher level.  Please follow these guidelines to make the most out of the one on one sessions.

  1. All bookings are done at the front desk, not with the instructors. Instructor will be assigned based in availability. Students can’t choose who to Evaluate with. They are booked  Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:10pm, 9:20pm & 9:30pm

  2. When booking at front desk mention that you are booking for EVALUATION. 

  3. Pay the fee and start at the time assigned ($15). 

  4. Booking for EVALUATION. Front desk will ask if you have prepared for Evaluation. If answered is yes, you will be allowed to BOOK. If answered no, you will not be allowed to book to EVALUATE. You must be prepared.

  5. When booking, you will get an EVALUATION work sheet to give the instructor for your session. The instructor will then test you based on the criteria of the syllabus steps and techniques of your level. If the instructor gives you the OK to advance, congratulations! If not, you will take the worksheet home to practice for your next evaluation that you can book when you are ready. Please bring the worksheet back for second evaluation. We advice you take a pic on your phone of the worksheet so you don’t loose it.

  6. EVALUATING: LEADS & FOLLOWERS: You will dance with the instructor to test your TIMING, CONNECTION & LEAD/FOLLOW for your level, and to be corrected where needed. After the dance, student will also be asked to do the steps (the instructor will call the step by name) by yourself without any assistance from the instructor. The instructor will then give you feedback using the syllabus on things you need to improve (steps and techniques). 

  7. REMEMBER: You must know and be familiar with all the dance steps & techniques from the Syllabus from your level in order to Evaluate. 

  8. Evaluation Fee is $15. No punch cards. This fee must be paid at the front desk. Sessions are strictly 10 Mts to respect all students session and the instructor’s time. 

  9. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t advance after your evaluation. 90% of students don’t pass the first time. Why? Because evaluations are OC Salsa personal way to give students one on one feedback on the things they need to improve to get them dancing the right way. It also motivates students to prepare and study so they can be better dancers. This way you will became the best version of yourself and advance ready to learn at a higher level and get better.  So be ready and prepare! Do your part and know the material so the instructor can evaluate and correct you based in what you already know.

OC Salsa provides you with free videos of all the steps and techniques available at our website www.EstebanConde.com & The OC SALSA APP available for FREE at Google Play Store or and the APP Store for iPhones FREE with all videos, class schedule, syllabus, Evaluations Sessions and more. IN ORDER TO ADVANCE Another LEVEL EVALUATION IS REQUIRED.

To qualify for Evaluation, you must dance to music all the syllabus steps. To advance a level you must apply all the techniques assigned to your level in the correct form. 


To Evaluate from  Level 2  to Intermediate, the  Student must know how dance all Beginner 1 and Beginner 2 Content, with no basics in between. To Advance to Intermediate Level, the student must apply all Techniques from Beginner Level 1 & Beginner Level 2 in the correct form.
