Learn How to Move your Body for Salsa Dancing in 1 Day, a 4 Hour class at OC Salsa. Experience needed, no partner required.

Details: in 4 hours you will learn how to move your hips., torso, arm movement, for solo dancing and partner work. Must be a Beg level 2. This class won’t teach basic steps. It is required that students know basics, timing, lead and follow, cross body leads and right turns.
Schedule:
12pm: How to position your feet, and knees. Hip and torso movement
1pm: How to use your back and toros properly. Function of the arms and how to loosen up while maintaining core strength
2pm Cuban and latin dance body movement fundamentals. Intro into how to move your body while in partner work
3pm Body Movement while dancing in partner work part 2

Who is the instructor?
World Salsa Champion Jhesus Aponte. WHO IS JHESUS APONTE: He is Considered one of the best and most complete of the world Professional Salsa Dancer in the World (Yes! in the world) for his ability to Social Dance, Solo style Shines with body movement and musicality, a complete and entertaining Performer, technical teachers, Former Competitor and now currently coach and judge of many world salsa competitions. He as taught at most of the mayor Salsa Festivals around the world and trained most of the top salsa dancers around the world. We are honored and humble to have him at OC Salsa directing and choreographing the Ladies Team!
ARTISTIC TRAINING
From Jazz to Ballet, Music Theatre to Tap, and Hip Hop to Flamenco, he honed his craft at renowned institutions such as Bailos, New Attitude, Conservatorio de Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, and Dance Machine. His artistic journey extended to the bustling dance scene of New York City, where he attended Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and Eglevsky Ballet, earning prestigious Summer Scholarships.

Aponte’s creative prowess extended to collaborations with stars, concerts, TV productions, music videos, and commercials, leaving an indelible mark on every project he touched.

Beginner Level will cover basic steps & turns for those w/ zero or little experience
Beginner/Intermediate Level is for those who know the basic steps and turns and are ready for more.
Intermediate Level class is for tose who mastered the basics, timing, turns and techniques and combinations and are ready for more.
This 4 hour class will also have a COMPLIMENTARY 3 1/2 hour Dance Social from 9:30m-1am at OC Salsa 2980 Mcclintock Way, Costa Mesa, so you can dance and practice what you had just learned. All You have to do is show the wrist band you received at bootcamp. ($15 Value).
No Partner, special shoes, clothing or experience needed. For those coming for the first time, you can truly learn how to dance the basics in 1 Day.
